This website is operated by AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH. This statement describes how and for what purposes we, as the data controller, process your personal data in connection with this website. 1. Which data we process about you

In the course of your visit to this website, we will automatically collect the following of your personal data:

  • The date and time you access a page on our website;

We also process the information that you yourself provide to us by entering it on our website (e.g. newsletter registration). 4. Newsletter

When you register for our newsletter, you submit the above personal data and give us the right to contact you by e-mail.We use the data stored when you register for the newsletter exclusively for our newsletter and do not pass it on. We use Brevo (Sendinblue GmbH, Köpenicker Straße 126, 10179 Berlin) to send newsletters. You can find Brevo’s privacy policy here: https://www.brevo.com/de/legal/privacypolicy/ If you unsubscribe from the newsletter (you will find the link at the bottom of every newsletter), we will delete all data stored when you subscribed to the newsletter.

5. Legal basis of the processing

The legal basis for the processing of your personal data is our overriding legitimate interest (pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit f GDPR), which is to achieve the purposes mentioned above under point 2. AIT Austrian Institute of Technology GmbH also carries out processing on the basis of Section 2d (2) of the Austrian Research Organization Act.

6. Duration of storage

We will generally store your data automatically collected on this website for a period of three months. Data will only be stored for longer if this is necessary to investigate identified attacks on our website or until the statutory limitation and retention periods expire or for as long as statutory retention obligations exist. In addition, we will retain your personal data until the end of any legal disputes in which the data is required as evidence.

7. Your rights in connection with personal data

Among other things, you are entitled (subject to applicable law) to (i) check whether and which personal data we have stored about you and to receive copies of this data, (ii) request the correction, completion or deletion of your personal data that is incorrect or is not processed in accordance with the law, (iii) request that we restrict the processing of your personal data, and (iv) under certain circumstances, object to the processing of your personal data or withdraw the consent previously given for the processing, (v) request data portability, (vi) know the identity of third parties to whom your personal data is transferred, and (vii) lodge a complaint with the competent authority. Any withdrawal of consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.
